You will still see the characteristic distress marks like nail holes, saw cuts, worm holes, cracks and knot holes from the old wood, but the finish is soft and luxuriously smooth.

About Our Catalyzed Varnish

A low-sheen, catalyzed conversion varnish is used on this mission style Manchester Barnwood Side Chair. It is a protective coating used to keep the chair looking like new. The catalyzed varnish is resistant to scratches, water stains and heat damage. It is also easy to clean and keeps the chair looking great for a long, long time.

Optional Chair Heights

The Manchester Side Chair is offered in 3 different seat heights:

  • Standard seat height for standard 30" high dining tables
  • 24" seat height for 36" pub height tables and kitchen islands
  • 30" seat height for 42" height bars and bar tables.

Swivel Seat

Fill The Knot Holes

As with all reclaimed barnwood furniture, there may be occasional knot or nail holes in the wood. You have the option to fill any holes in the seat with a clear epoxy or leave as is. The clear epoxy blends in nicely and creates a smooth finish across the seat's surface. Leaving the holes exposed enhances the rustic nature of the piece. The choice is yours.

  • Corner blocking reinforced with metal screws and glue firmly secure the legs and seat together
  • All wooden seats are gently curved for added comfort while sitting for long periods

  • Fabric and leather upholstery materials are hand stretched over the seat cushioning which is top quality, long lasting foam cushioning
