The Herrington Barn Wood Dining Bench Coordinates With The Herrington Barn Wood Trestle-Base Table

The Herrington is a simple bench seat with A-frame sloped support legs on each side and a cross beam in between. This bench is easy to maneuver around when you need to pull it out for seating or tuck it under to stow.

Various sizes available to fit different length tables including 48", 60", 72", 84" and 96" length benches. All sizes are 13" wide x 18" high.

Shown in popular Clear Finish.  Choose from a wide selection of standard and premium finishes.

The naturally aged barnwood seat and legs of the Herrington Bench come from barns throughout the Northeastern US that have been carefully salvaged and taken  down. The timber used is hand selected from barns that stood for more than 100 years. Throughout that time the elements have improved the wood giving it its wonderfully aged characteristics and beautiful patina.

The simple straight lines of the Herrington design are reminiscent of the simplicity of yesteryear, yet they artfully complement the look of modern decor trends that are popular in todays world.

Utilize the Herrington Bench as an accompanying piece in a casual kitchen or dining area for a clean and uncluttered look or use it by itself anywhere it fits.

Various Bench Seat Lengths

The Herrington Barn Wood Fixed-Width Bench Seat is offered in 5 different lengths including 48", 60", 72", 84" and 96". The different lengths are designed to fit varying lengths of the Herrington Barnwood Dining Table.

The Acacia Barnwood Extend-A-Bench is also available with an optional number of leaves should you need a bench that is extendable.

Filled Or Open Knot Holes

As with all reclaimed barn wood furniture, you will see occasional knot or nail holes. You have the option to fill these holes in the bench seat with a clear epoxy or leave as is. Filling the holes with the clear epoxy creates a nice smooth surface on the seat. Leaving the holes exposed enhances the rustic nature of the piece. It's your choice.

  • Mortise and tenon joinery locks all critical joints together
  • Corner blocking reinforced with metal screws and glue firmly secure the legs and bench seat together
  • Made from solid reclaimed oak barnwood from felled barns sourced throughout Ohio and the Northeast.
  • All reclaimed lumber undergoes a thorough cleaning and drying process including removing all embedded nails and kiln drying to exterminate any creatures and their eggs which may have been hiding in the old wood. Kiln drying also brings down the moisture content to roughly 7% which minimizes shrinking, cracking and warping later on.
  • A smooth, protective catalyzed varnish with low sheen finish seals and protects the bench. This helps to make it a lasting heirloom piece for many generations to come.
