The lumber used in the making of the piece is freshly harvested from a sustainable forest, then distressed with either the barn flooor or sawmill finish to replicate the look of authentic aged barnwood. This wine bar is available in Rustic Cherry, Brown Maple, Red Oak, Quartersawn White Oak and Rustic Hickory in rustic finishes shown. Other wood species available in smooth finish only including Walnut, Rustic Walnut, Hard Maple, Curly Maple, Hickory, Elm, Alder and Knotty Alder. Call for special ordering in other wood species.

About Our Catalyzed Varnish

A low-sheen, catalyzed conversion varnish is used on this wine bar as on all of our furniture. It is a topcoat used for ultimate durability. Specifically, a hardening agent is added to the lacquer to provide the additional durability. The catalyzed varnish provides the ultimate long lasting finish that is resistant to scratches, water stains and heat damage. It is easy to clean and stays looking great for a long, long time.

About The Construction

Left and right sides of the Alpine Rustic Finish Wine Bar are made of premium solid hardwood boards, in the wood species of your choosing, 3/4" total width, glued and pressed together with the direction of the wood grain alternating. This is typical of quality furniture and provides added strength and stability to resist cracking and warping over time. Solid slab hardwood sides optional. There is no visible difference. Choose your wood species below.

Backing is made from one thin layer of the premium hardwood species of your choosing.  All other parts made from solid slab premium hardwood.

  • Built by one of our most trusted Amish crafters in Holmes County Ohio.
  • Dovetail corners and smooth, black full-extension ball bearing slides standard in all drawers.
  • Mortise and tennon construction on all doors.
  • Top quality drawer slides, hinges, catches, pulls and knobs from best quality manufacturers including Fulterer, Amerock, Saliche and more.
