All wood used on this barnwood buffet is 100% reclaimed solid oak barnwood from felled barns sourced throughout the Northeastern United States.
All reclaimed barnwood is thoroughly cleaned and dried prior to cutting. In addition, any embedded nails are removed.
A kiln drying process exterminates any insects which may have lingered. This critical drying process also brings down the moisture content to 6-8% which minimizes shrinking, cracking and warping in the buffet throughout its lifetime.
A low-sheen, catalyzed conversion varnish is used on this barnwood server. The catalyzed varnish resists scratches, water stains and heat damage. It is also quite easy to clean.
