Our Newbury Chest pictured is finished in an alluring combination of gray stain/black glaze that gives it a metro modern feel. You can easily change this combination to achieve the desired look to match with your decor. Select "Standard" stain when ordering for a single tone stain color throughout the piece.

Slim chrome drawer pulls and extra-wide angular base "feet" are the icing on the cake that catapult this chest right into the modern world of vintage hip. The distressed barn wood grounds the piece with an overall rustic feel.

We invite you to look closely at the fine quality of the barn wood, expertly finished by Amish craftsmen in Ohio. Dovetail drawers, mortise and tenon joinery and best quality solid oak reclaimed wood are just some of the high quality markers for the fine workmanship in this chest.

About The 2-Tone Finish Option

With 2-tone finish, you will select the first color chest top, then you will select the second color for the chest base and drawer fronts.

Our 2-tone finish is a premium finish that adds approximately 15% to the price from a single tone, standard finish.

When choosing your stain colors for 2-tone, you will have the option to choose from all stain colors and glazes, including both standard and premium stain/finish colors.

Drawer Options

  • Choose alternate 5-drawer chest with 3 deeper drawers on the bottom vs. 6-drawer chest as shown in product photo. Overall size and price are the same
  • Full extension drawer slides are standard on all drawers
  • Undermount soft close slides available as an upgrade. Select this option under "Drawer Slides" if desired. Drawer slide hardware is hidden and drawers softly close with just a push

High Quality Bedroom Furniture Construction

  • Mortise and tenon joinery locks all critical joints together
  • corner blocking reinforced with metal screws and glue firmly secure corner areas
  • dovetail drawers with full extension slides insure smooth operation
  • All wood used on this chest of drawers is 100% reclaimed solid oak barnwood from felled barns sourced throughout the Northeastern United States.
  • All barn beams are completely cleaned and dried prior to cutting. In addition, any embedded nails are removed.
  • A kiln drying process exterminates any insects which may have lingered. This critical drying process also brings down the moisture content to 6-8% which minimizes shrinking, cracking and warping in the dresser throughout its lifetime.
  • A low-sheen, catalyzed conversion varnish is used on this bedroom chest. The catalyzed varnish resists scratches, water stains and heat damage. It is also quite easy to clean.
